    I can’t sing Phoebe’s praises loud enough. If this review sounds like a love letter, that’s because it is.
    I met Phoebe when I did my intro consult at Starting Strength OKC and have been in her MWF class for 5 months now. Her communication style, attention to detail, and skills all make her an absolutely incredible coach. As a mom of 2, walking into any gym is still terrifying… but Phoebe made that leap feel like a walk in the park. She pushes me, encourages me, and does so much outside of our gym time to ensure I’m successful inside the gym. Every morning when I walk in, she checks in, asks me how I’m feeling, ensures I’ve eaten enough, and adapts programming based on those responses. She’s so wonderful at making every single person in the gym feel seen & important while also putting a decent sized fire under your ass to lift some heavy stuff. I continue to see changes in my body as my weight on the barbell increases. I was diagnosed with scoliosis this year and Phoebe didn’t hesitate. She sent me articles, adapted programming, and thanks to her – my back is stronger than it’s ever been in my entire life. I have had less injury in the past 5 months than I’ve had in the past 5 years. I feel great, I’m a better and more active mom, and I am so proud of the scale & non-scale victories. If you get the chance to work with Phoebe, don’t pass it up. She’s a life changer.

    Simply outstanding!
    I had some family business to take care of in town, so I scheduled a few training days at SS OKC. I’m an almost self-sufficient lifter who works out in my garage, as there isn’t a Starting Strength gym or coach within a full day’s drive for me, so I try to get under the bar with a certified Starting Strength Coach at least once a year.

    Phoebe’s constant guidance during each lift was very insightful and I took pages of notes that I still refer to three months later. So many tips and form corrections really did make the lifts easier, even as they got significantly heavier. And I had the pleasure of learning even more as she shifted her attention to Taylor and taught her the lifts.

    I look forward to scheduling more sessions with her the next time I’m in OKC.

    Phoebe is seriously the best. When I first started starting strength I had no idea what I was doing. She made me feel comfortable and confident quickly. She is a great coach from teaching how to lift weights correctly to nutrition. All without being overwhelming/intimidating. Phoebe really cares and it shows. She encourages me and pushes me to be better. I am so thankful for her. I cannot wait to be back in the fall.
