The Most Efficient Way to Get Stronger
- Join the gym and learn the lifts in an Intro Session
- Attend your first training session
- Track weights and measurements in your digital logbook
- Follow your coaches programming and instructions
- Get adequate rest and nutrition outside of the gym
- Train three days per week
- Add 10+ pounds of lean mass in 10 weeks*
*Applies to men ages 18-45. Women should expect 5+ pounds of lean mass. Trainees age 45+ will get stronger, but usually not as quickly.

I have been training at Starting Strength for 5 months. The gym is clean, great equipment, and the staff is knowledgeable and no nonsense in safety and following the strength program. I have reached personal best weight goals in dead lifts, squats, overhead bar press and bench press. JD and Andrew watch /coach each working lift and remind me of straight wrist, core strength support, form, and breathing. I am so much stronger with better balance when engaging in activities of daily living. I am 73 yo female with a left knee replacement, r foot with plates, screws and pins, with a history of osteoarthritis and cardiovascular diagnosis. The best gift is the gift of health that we give to ourselves.
